Fiesta for Senor Bean

We had a fiesta for B last weekend to celebrate with our family in the valley while we were in town for Josh to take his monthly shelf exam. We decided on the fiesta theme because we have called Bennett the nickname Bean since he was born because he liked to be wrapped him up like a bean burrito when he was teeny tiny. We served sombrero cookies, cupcakes with mustaches and yankee doodle (what Josh's family calls taco salad). It was a fun celebration and even though many of our friends weren't able to attend because of the holiday weekend, we had a good time and enjoyed visiting with those who were there. So without further ado, here are the pictures!

 Sombrero Cookies

Birthday Cake

Mustache Cupcakes

Guess how many beans? :)

Bennett and Mommy opening gifts
 Eating cake
(he was tentative at first but once he got into it, he just put his little face right up to the cake and by the end he was grabbing huge chunks!)
 The remnants
It all came together well and we are looking forward to a little bit more celebrating on his actual birthday this Sunday. I love any reason to party!

You did such a great job on his party! I will get your pictures to you as soon as I can. I haven't had any time to sit down and sort through them. Too many projects and waaaaay too little time. Thanks for your patience.
