Funny Business

I need to write down these things so I don't forget them. Bennett is quite entertaining without even meaning to be. He brings so much joy and happiness into our home and I find myself smiling and laughing several times a day at things he does. So here are some highlights:

A few days ago he had a really yucky poo blowout so I was changing him (which is a wrestling match now that he can roll over) and while I was wiping off his little bum, I noticed there were little puddles on the changing pad. I was confused and put his legs down only to see him peeing and it arching directly into his little mouth. The look on his face!!!! He was pushing it back out with his tongue and had a look on his face like "what is this stuff and where is it coming from?!" He had a puddle in his neck roll that quickly rolled back into his hair on the back of his head. It all happened so fast and he hasn't peed while being changed in a while so I was in shock as to what to do first! Anyway, it was bath time after that and of course before I could even get him in the bath, he peed all over my pants too. Oh boys....

Josh and I were having Strawberry Shortcake for dessert and Josh was holding B while he was trying to eat. Bennett reached out and grabbed onto the plate with all his little might and Josh almost dropped the plate. The look on B's face was so funny. I'll let you see for yourself...

Yesterday I was feeding him a bottle propped up on a Boppy pillow (it's a u shaped pillow that fits around my body so he can be supported more) and he wanted to see what was on tv more than eating so he pushed his feet up onto my chest, arched his back all the way off the pillow and leaned his head back upside down so he could see the tv. I couldn't believe it, I was laughing so hard at him. Little stinker...

This morning when I went in to get him out of his bed for the day, he saw me look over the crib at him and he got the biggest smile on his face and let out the cutest happy giggle. It warmed my heart and made me smile. Of course I had to snuggle him and cover his little face in kisses after that!

I love being Bennett's mom.

I was smiling the whole time reading this. Such a sweetie. And aren't the wake-up greetings the best? They look at you like you are the best thing in the whole world, which to them, we are!
