Dreaming Big...

So, life is so full and exciting that it is almost a bit overwhelming. Shout it from the rooftops! We are hoping to adopt!!! Today, we turned in our Adoption Papers to the judge who will be reviewing our file to become certified. It will take about 4-6 weeks until it is finished and then we will be fully certified with the state. In the meantime, if we find a birthmom who would like to place with us, we can still adopt and our caseworker will just emergency certify us. So excited!!!!!!!!! We have been wanting children for so long and after 6 years of trying and a devastating miscarriage last year, we are taking one step closer to beginning our family. We have had so much support this far from family and friends, it has been almost surreal how well it has all gone. We first went to the Adoption Orientation with LDS Family Services in August and now here we are just about a month away from being certified. It's so amazing how smooth everything has been and since we had so many other things going on, it made us feel really comfortable that we were making the right decision to have it all be so smooth. We can't wait to welcome a son or daughter into our home. So, after our home visit last week I indulged in a little baby item browsing...I have found some very fun things! I have had some friends who have been asking me if I have registered yet and although I am way excited to be planning a nursery, I have been so busy just getting all of the paperwork done and settling into our new house, that I haven't even had a moment to think about a baby registry. I have also had several friends offer to throw a baby shower...so crazy, like I said, surreal! Anyway, I am so blessed to have such awesome friends and family. Do you see a trend here? I think I might like black and red. The last two pictures are just pictures I found online of some fun red and black things for a baby nursery. Anyway, we are ready for this next step of our life and I am so excited to be planning to welcome a little person into my family with Josh by my side. Now comes the adventure of finding our baby! Please share with everyone you know that we are hoping to adopt! The more people know, the sooner we will be able to find the birthmom who is looking for us. We pray for her everynight and hope that she is doing okay. It's all so exciting! We will keep everyone updated as we move forward in this new part of our lives!
