I survived the bumpy trip on a small U.S. Airways plane. I even got my seat changed for both flights (to Salt Lake and from) so that I was the first seat behind first class with lots of leg room and I was able to get off the plane pretty quick.
Kyra picked me up from the airport with the cute little guys in tow. I learned from this trip that suckers are the key to a quiet car ride!
I love the look on Mac's little face. He's like "What? I know I'm cute but why you gotta take my picture?"
After we left the airport, we went to Iceberg. I was so sad when the Iceberg is Mesa closed so I was really excited to go and get a gi-normous rocky road shake there. After we went there, we went to this outdoor childroon's garden/museum place. They have this giant Noah's Ark and the elephants shoot water out from their trunks. So fun to play in!
Taft is such a cutie pants!
Mac kissing the turtle.
Kyra and Taft playing in the water. At one point Taft ended up right under the fountain spraying from the elephants trunks. It sprayed right on his head and he thought it was still fun!
They had all of these cool animal sculptures everywhere.
I got to watch the boys one of the mornings I was there, while Kyra went to work. We watched the Return to Neverland movie which is like the sequel to Peter Pan. Mac loves Peter Pan and Captain Hook and will listen to Kyra tell stories about Captain Hook for like an hour!
Kyra's newly decorated room. Way cute! She has such an awesome style. I love it!
A giant hot dog balloon. Who would ever think there would be such a thing?
Dinner at Marie's Cafe without the boys. It was very tasty.
On Saturday before I left, Kyra was in a volleyball tournament so I went to watch. Kyra is so athletic! There was this other girl who asked me how old Kyra was because she thought Kyra had to be in her early twenties because of how fit Kyra is. When I told her Kyra's age, the girl was like "Oh that's how old I am. So not fair!" A shuttle came to pick me up from the tournament to take me to the airport since Kyra went on to the final rounds. The shuttle driver was nice and the shuttle was airconditioned so it was fine.
Overall, it was a fun trip and since I hadn't seen Taft since he was a newborn it was fun for me to get to know him as a little person, walking and talking! Mac is getting so big and is Taft's best friend. Taft copies everthing that Mac does. It was pretty cute! Thanks for having me Kyra!
